Lover of photos for as long as I can remember.

One of my favorite pastimes was sitting on my grandma’s living room floor (which is now my living room floor, but that’s a story for another time) going through shoeboxes of pictures dating back to the 1920’s. My favorites were always the ones that looked like they were almost taken by accident. Someone was moving or has a funny look on their face, or better yet it’s just everyone sitting around the room oblivious to the person taking the photo- which was usually my grandpa.

I want my family (and yours too!) to be able to have that same experience. Real photos of real moments that they can look back on and feel like they were there. I love a beautiful portrait too, don’t get me wrong, but there’s just something extra special about a photo of your mom making breakfast or your baby brother in the bath, or maybe your grandma cutting loose at the party.

You can see what people look like in a portrait, but you can feel their personality when it’s candid.

I’d love to help you preserve those feelings.

As a mom of two (and nanny for 10+ years), I bring a level of patience and understanding to every session. I’m deeply aware of how stressful photoshoots can feel, especially when managing the emotions of a big day or little kid. I make it my mission to allow everyone to be themselves, go at their own pace and maybe even have fun!?

I could go on and on about how fast time seems to go and how there’s so much to be felt and remembered and how in the blink of an eye the event you spent months planning is finished and your kids are grown and the photos are all you have left to trigger the memories.

All of that to say- I hope you see the value in documenting your life. Big moments and small. Don’t wait for the “perfect” because I promise you the real is much more meaningful.
