Waiting for Baby

The arrival of any baby is special, but as a new mom of two, this one felt a little extra special for me. Knowing how everything was about to change and how important these photos would be. Remembering when it was just one little one was running around, laughing, and eating bananas. The way she climbed back into the bassinet. Not to mention the way Natalie was quite literally glowing. These are the fleeting, everyday moments that deserve to be documented. Before the love doubled.

An afternoon full of laughter, movement, and the kind of effortless love that makes family photography feel magical.

My goal for every session is to create a space where families can just be, and these guys embraced that fully. Natalie and I have shot together before (I think this may have been our 3rd family session!) so she knew my style of taking things slow and blending in to the background. We started the session just sitting on the living room floor talking and almost immediately her daughter wandered over to check out what I brought in my bags. I sometimes like to have kids guess how many cameras I have on me. (Hint: it’s never less than 3.)

I’ll come back and take those photos too, though. You’ve got my number.

Clare + Taylor

A photoshoot that feels like a date and ends with tacos? Yes please. Clare and Taylor’s session was one of those effortless, intimate, and full of love shoots that makes my job feel like a breeze.

Engagement Session | June 2025

A photoshoot that feels like a date and ends with tacos? Yes please. Clare and Taylor’s session was one of those effortless, intimate, and full of love shoots that makes my job feel like a breeze.

We started off at their home where we got to meet a new interesting neighbor, which broke any ice right away. (not a paid actor, but I probably should have got his number for future photo ops…) From there, we took a walk through The Hill to the church where they will soon say their vows—a meaningful stop that added to their story. As the sun began to set, we ended the night at their favorite date night spot, Taco Buddha- capturing the joy (and margs) of a place that holds so many memories for them.

From the moment we started, it was clear that these two were completely at home with each other. They laughed easily, moved naturally, and embraced the little in-between moments that often go unnoticed but hold the most meaning. Whether it was the way Taylor pulled Clare in close or how their hands instinctively found each other, every frame was a reflection of their connection.

We kept things simple. Just the two of them, doing what they enjoy, and allowing me to tag along.

See you guys soon! 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️💍
